Meet Mr. Zen

Oh my stars, is driving through eastern Oregon a bore. We decided to head to Bend, OR under the guise of good biking, but really it was simply to avoid driving home through Nevada. But can YOU tell the difference? We couldn't.
I knighted Mike as Mr. Zen as he has this spectacular ability to just drive and drive while I alternate between tearing my hair out from boredom and napping.

But Bend. That's it. We're settling here. Thanks to Gianni's advice we have gotten great biking advice, eaten like royalty, and are jacked up on Joe.

We're heading home tomorrow. But to Bend, we'll be back.

That picture looks WAY greener than Nevada...

Bend is a cool place to ride--at least this time of year. We have a friend who is a die-hard bike-commuter up there. He looooves his studded bike tires...

I'm with pab, I need to check out the snow action in the winter . But I'm thinking good MTB trails must equal great XC classic skiing.
Mr. Zen will have his work cut out for him tommorrow between Bend and Klamath.
I have heard tell of great Thai food in Dunsmuir?

we looked at empty lots today.
when Little M and Little C leave for college, we should head north together, eh?

and the reports we heard today are that you can ride cyclocross from bend to mt. bachelor and that the skate skiing trails are endless...

Looking at lots= serious. I never got past the house porn and pulling fliers.
Crazy to think I'm even thinking about 2020.
Did ya look in Sisters?

luv Bend. Only been there in the snowtime & it is the shiznit. Inches in town (or none), but piles & piles just up the hill. Hey! let's all buy some land up there before it gets out of control... oops, too late.

my word verif. was: SFKSS

It's getting cheaper, about the price of Modesto right now.
