We are in Winter Park, Colorado with loads of family to celebrate my dad's 65th birthday and little M's 10th birthday. Crazy, endless, mountain fun. My dad can't get enough of his "Old as Mud" hat he's proudly wearing here. And the box of flies were hand-tied by Mike, which I have to say, is the coolest present ever (and I'm not biased at all).

Wait a minute, man.
That pup looks a little like Coconut AND a little like Licorice!
Ya'll get one of those hi- breeds?
Happy B-day to all the Merkle clan!
oooh you bought one of those little dogs in the canine carrying box. I've been thinking about getting my niece one for Christmas.
It's totally cool that Mike can tie his own flies.
Enjoy your time in CO!
Happy birthday!
Is that one of those puppies that "breathes" and "snores"? We see those in shop windows & I panic for a sec thinking someone left their puppy in for the night & the poor thing's going to get all scared...
Wow, Merkeley is a guy with many talents. Who knew he could hand tie flies? I hope you guys enjoy your trip. Happy birthday to your dad and Little M!
Oooh, hand tied flies. Always the best.
Happy bithday celebrations to both the more senior and younger one's.
Happy Birthday to them both and many happy returns. :)
the puppy has a name, which I forget. But it's from American Doll and comes with all sorts of pedigree papers.
Up here in CO, the folks who own the B&B have a boxer. What a cute dog!
