I guess it's time...
to think about racing!
Did a little pre-season status check yesterday (ouch!) and the results were favorable. A 12% increase in MSS power conbined with a 12% loss in weight has everything headed in the right direction.
Guess all those weights and measures are paying off!
Well, you've got to start with some excess body fat ;). As for the process, calorie counting is the only method that works for me. No fad diets...just simple math.
Mike, I'm a counter, too! www.fitday.com I'm down 14% since August. I've got 4 pounds to go to my goal, but last night I changed my goal so I'l be counting a while longer. When you're big like us it's easier to lose bigger percentages. Deficit, deficit, deficit!
you know, I didn't bother to calculate my percentage until I saw your post. I knew I lost a lot of pounds, but I figured what the heck! Fluffy girls have lots of weight to lose.
Doesn't it feel amazing, Mike? Like a whole new you!
12% loss in weight!?
ReplyDeletemorgan's (my husband) trying to lose. he's got no body fat, but he's very muscley.
how did you lose 12%

ReplyDeletethat's the only measure that counts in bike racing...
I'm happy with both the up and the down.
ReplyDeleteI think he's faster than last summer right now.
ReplyDelete12%...boys...sigh.
ReplyDelete(Included in that sigh are the following: good job; wow, that must have taken a ton of willpower; no Ici?!?; and I wish I could do that...)
pab - Soooo true. I'm faster but the real question is am I fast enough...that's why it's 'Time to think about racing'.
ReplyDeletePanda...when you count calories you can save room for Ici ;>.

Congratulations again.
I like fitday, too, but anything over 2% seems a little much for this particular fluffy girl. I might just have to be happy with "stout"...
