I've been working on this for a while and finally made the time this weekend to finish it off. I took it down to the port last night for a hammer session. Didn't develop any squeeks or rattles...I guess that's a good sign.I also decided to try my hand at building a wheel. I'll reserve judgement until after the first ride. ;)

I love building wheels. It is my favorite aspect of bike mechanics.
And it is becoming somewhat of a lost art, as fancy factory built wheels have become the norm these days, even as training wheels. And I'll race on my fancy-dancies, but for training, its always 32-36 spokes, heavy, and no frills...

I'm a lost art kinda girl -- I build my own wheels. And none of them have imploded yet! I'm building up a sweet new set for cross -- pink rims!!!
